His Q (Infected Bonesaw) is his main harass — 4s CD at max rank. Passive shield (Goes Where He Pleases) reactivates after a short delay when consumed.
What To Do
- -[S16 Note: Cut Down was reworked, so Doran's start is usually recommended].
- -Hide behind minions so he can't cleaver you for free.
- -His cleavers are long range but easy to side step with W harrier procs.
- -If he misses cleaver, HARD ENGAGE for a trade by vaulting him, combo, proc PTA, then back off before his cleaver comes back.
- -His R is ~110 seconds cooldown. Goal post-6 is to get him low and bait his R.
- -Don't fight him when his R is up unless he's really low WITH your ignite ticking on him.
- -When his R is down, you can kill him next time with ease.
- -[S16 Note: No more Phase Rush, so PTA or Lethal Tempo is highly recommended to DPS him down]
- -To pop his passive efficiently: wait for him to throw cleaver at a minion, then immediately Q=E-auto him for harrier. He can't Q you while blinded.
- -Try to step on his canister (dropped when he misses Q) to deny his resource regeneration.
- -His R heals him massively — ignite early in the all-in to reduce healing. If you ignite him before his R activates, the healing reduction applies throughout the R duration.
Level-by-Level
Matchup Tip: To take out Dr. Mundo's passive, wait for him to use cleaver on a minion OR if he misses it on you. Q him, then auto, E him and auto. He is blinded and can't insta-cleaver you, so you can pop his passive for free. Try to step on his canister if you can! [S16 Note: No Phase Rush but its fine as long as you do this while his Q is down]
[S16 Note: You no longer have the edge level 1 without Phase Rush]. You can still do the Quinn Cheese — just confidently and quickly side step after you land your E. Auto, E, side step fast, then auto twice to consume the harrier. Mundo will retaliate with his Q instantly, so I like to side step the Q immediately after E to juke it. His passive eats your E, so expect his Q to come quicker than after the normal micro CC Quinn's E applies.
[S16 Note: No more Phase Rush, so need to be extra careful to trade in the wave or harass under tower.] Stand behind minions so he can't Q you for free. His Q is very hard to side step.
He is terrifying post-6. [S16 Note: Again no more phase rush, so respect that he can run you down with ult if you overstep]. If he runs you down, Q-AA-E-AA so he can't see you. Bait his R before committing to an all-in — your ignite will cut his healing significantly when his R is active.
