Strategy Guide

What To Do

  • -Easy matchup in lane, play map after 6. Like any mage matchup, if she uses her Q on the minions, instantly go in for an E trade and punish her because this is her damage.
  • -Stay close range to liss because she out ranges you.
  • -Her Q goes through minions, so if I stay on the side, her Q can't hit me unless she uses it on me. If she does, she isn't using Q on wave, which makes liss have a predicament if she wants to push the wave with Q or gamble for a Q on you.
  • -Freezing is broken in this matchup because you can punish liss for over extending and run her down.
  • -If she Es, use E at the very last second before her claw finishes- this will cancel her E. This is easier than timing your E to follow her.
  • -If she ults you, instantly E away and [S16 Note: pray (no more nullifying orb)] you will be okay.

Level-by-Level

Matchup Tip

Matchup Tip: If Liss ever uses Q on the wave, or if she misses her Q against you, instantly go in for a trade because you hard win it. Level 3 onwards, Save your E to cancel/follow her E when she tries to run away from you.

L1

Conduct the Quinn Cheese level 1 and then run her down after. You win all trades regardless the ability she starts. Her Q is an 8 second cooldown so the best she gets is 1 Q on you. Zone her off the wave after she runs to her tower by standing in between the wave and her body.

L2

Liss W is 450 range, which is 75 units less than your AA range. If you stay in AA range, she can't stun you with it unless she puts herself in melee range, and if she gets that close to you, it's typically worse for her since you destroy her in trades. Play aggro and punish her whenever you're in AA range. You can use your E aggressively in this matchup.

L3

Lissandra E can be cancelled with Quinn E, but it's a gimmicky interaction. Here's a clip on how to cancel her E with Quinn's E. If you see a window to all-in her, try to save E for the end of your combo to follow her E-disengage. If you use E early, she can E out freely, but if you save E for the end of your combo, you can potentially follow her and then kill her with ease. Stand back and try to juke her Qs. If Liss ever uses Q on the wave or if she misses you with it, instantly engage on her for a big trade because she hard loses it.

L6

Lissandra R range is 25 units longer than your AA range, so she can R you with ease. You can't do much about it, but just try not to take bad trades. If she jumps on you and you live, you can try to run her down with any health you have left since her cooldowns are quite long. Ward deep and in multiple places post 6 because her R is malphite-level perfect to set up ganks and dives against you. If you anticipate an R from her, Blind Liss early because she can't R you when she is nearsighted. [S16 Note: No more nullifying orb and no mid quest chainlaced crushers makes you super vulnerable to Liss R. Pre-6 hexdrinker, mercs, and/or cleanse are highly recommended to prevent Liss from setting up back-to-back kills on you.]
