What To Do
- -Pre 6 he can't do anything. The only thing you need to keep in mind is if Noc tries to engage on you, you MUST Q-E-AA instantly.
- -Q first becasue your Q will eat his spellshield.
- -If your E hits his spellshield, this is terrible becasue he wont be knocked back or slowed, which means you will get feared every time.
- -[S16 Note: No more phase rush, so make sure you are E'ing Nocturne when he is closer to you rather than at max E distance to create more space between him and survive the fear.]
- -Save your combo to counter this engage and you are golden.
- -Noc has HARDCORE mana problems, so he cannot combo you much.
- -The matchup is free in lane, and if you Q-E-AA his R combo, you will live throug his only chance of ever killing you. [S16 Note: Also, you can exhaust him during this time if he looks like he will kill you. Just make sure you exhaust early enough.]
Level-by-Level
Quinn Cheese level 1. Nocturne will retaliate with Q that is basically just poke for level 1. Keep autoing him and run him down until he runs to his tower. Zone him off the wave and try to juke his second Q that comes back up in 8 seconds.
Nocturne has spellshield likely, but it doesn't do much for the lane. If you want to chase him down, try to use your Q to eat up his spell shield because if he spellshields your E, he doesn't get slowed from your E.
Play super aggressive, and if nocturne tries to engage on you, Q-E then auto to proc harrier. Q first is important so your Q eats his spellshield. [S16 Note: No more phase rush, so when performing the Q-E auto combo, make sure you are using the E when he is closer to you, rather than at the max range. You will create more space this way and survive his engage combo without phase rush.]
When Nocturne engages on you with R, make sure to Q-E-AA in that order as fast as possible and then run away after that combo.Q-ing first is essential because his spellshield will eat your Q. This is important because if his spellshield eats your E, your E wont slow him or push him back, which will make you dead. You need to Q first, always. [S16 Note: No more phase rush, so we need to respect Nocturne R and not push too far up before 2-3 items, since Nocturne can easily run us down with Stridebreaker and Hexplate after ulting.]
