What To Do
- -Skarner has an incredible mix of poke, bulkiness, and CC that can make laning feel like a stalemate. In general though, because skarner is a melee champion - Quinn is favored overall as long as you use your E smartly and will outscale Skarner hard in the late game. Dodge his Qs in lane and go for trades when you land Q on him.
- -His E will always have priority over our E, so do NOT try to vault him unless you are trying to prevent him from escaping through a wall. He can also Buffer his E to cancel our vault, so save your vault for until after he uses his E.
- -At lvl 1, it is 22 seconds long, so you have that go in for short trades until it is back up. Just be mindful of his ranged poke with Q (try to dodge those after he picks up rocks) and W (hard to dodge - 700 range vs. vault 525 return range).
- -Once he gets 6, you have to be very careful not to get clipped by his R and dragged under tower. It is a inverted cone with a max range of 625, 100 more range than our AA and E. If he already used his E to engage onto you, you can safely vault immediately after he ults if it hits you. Otherwise wait out any E he throws to use your E and disengage.
Level-by-Level
He will start Q or W lvl 1. You win at these levels with you E, so look for a Quinn Cheese, play aggro, and zone him from the wave. Dodge his Qs if possible.
His E does more damage and stuns if he pins you on a wall, so play in the middle of the lane when he gets lvl 3. Play more back if you are 40% or lower, since he will be looking to flash E you on a wall and go for a kill, especially if it is comet scorch Skarner.
Be careful not to get clipped by his R under tower. It is quite hard to dodge, so make sure to bob left and right as you fight/trade with him to make it harder for him to land it. His ult has 100 more range than our AA and E, so use your flash to escape if he tries to use it to set up a gank. If he used his E to engage, you can vault immediately once you leave CC, otherwise there is a risk he can cancel it with his E
