What To Do
- -Trynd will go Q max usually. [S16 Note: Trynd players are starting to take Hail of Blades instead of Fleet, so you may have opportunities to kill him in lane. Just be careful to never let him get full Hail of Blades hits on you.]
- -Important to note that Quinn's vault in fact cancel's Trynd's spin, so legit just save your E every time to cancel his spin.
- -[S16 Note: Boots rush is still recommended, but since no more phase rush, we no longer have the ability to fully outrun trynd, since he will likely bring ghost and stack MS items such as stridebreaker, storm razor, PD, etc. We just need to run to tower and survive long enough to kill him]
- -During lane, constantly punish him with auto attacks and Qs, and save E always to counter his E. By doing this, he can't play the game.
- -Post 6, if he Es you, he needs flash and/or stridebreaker to actually get onto you. [S16 Note: He can likely outrun us now, so use your movement tools like harrier procs, boots, and summoner spells as needed to kite towards and inside tower. However that is okay, since we are no longer building to 1v1 or outrun trynd, but lethality to kill everyone else and him after he burns everything.]
Level-by-Level
Build Advice: Rush Berserker boots in this matchup because movement speed is a direct counter to Tryndamere.
Matchup Advice: Use E specifically to cancel Tryndamere's spin, and only use E for this.
When Tryndamere spins on you, save E to cancel his E spin. When you do this, you can run him down with auto attacks. His E is the same cooldown as your E.
Tryndamere will heal a lot in the lane, so try to be aggressive so he doens't get much healing. Slow pushing + zoning him off the wave is ideal so that he can't get his crit passive stacked from the wave.
[S16 Note: No more Phase Rush, but his W is usually paired with E, which you will E anyway.] Your goal pre-6 is to kill tryndamere because the matchup is unplayable for him. Auto him whenver he gets in range, and when he spins on you, save E specifically to counter his E spin.
When he engages post 6, continue to trade E's with him. [S16 Note: since we no longer have Phase Rush, bring ghost to match his ghost engage, or bring ignite and optionally nimbus if you have matchup confidence.]
