Strategy Guide

What To Do

  • -He is an easier Yasuo. YHis Qs make him launch forwards, so if he Q3s, he leaps into int range. [S16 Note: Your E no longer redirects Yone W.]
  • -Jump on him after he uses Qs. Level 3 onwards care about using E because he will use E right after to trade you when your E is down.
  • -I save E to counter his E engage, and use my range to win the rest of the fight.
  • -Your E follows his E, so keep that in mind if you time it correctly.
  • -If he Es you, instantly E back and he can't trade at all.
  • -When he has R, side step his R then E him AFTER the knock up ends.
  • -Don't E too early because if his R knocks you up during your E, then you are dead.

Level-by-Level

L1

Yone's Q is like yasuo, so play level 1 aggressively, and when he has his empowered Q, try to side step it. If he misses his empowered Q, instantly jump on him because Yone has to move his body forward when he wants to use it.

L2

If you E Yone during his W animation, he will W backwards and the shield won't come because his W won't hit you. This is a bit hard to incorporate in your games, though, because his W animation is quick. It is possible, though.

L3

When Yone uses E on you, instantly vault him and run away to escape. Save E in this matchup Level 3 onwards to counter his E. You can E him in mid air to cancel his ability. If you want to follow him, E him when you anticipate he will bounce back to his body, and if you time this correctly, you will follow him all the way along. Be very careful against Yone's E because sometimes you will E him and follow him when you do not want to, so whenever he is in E form, think if you want to follow or not. If you do not want to, E him right away when he dashes you.

L6

When Yone uses R, there is a 0.75 cast time, so try to use this time to side step it if possible. When he lands, use your E instantly to escape. You need your E up when he Rs or he can kill you with ease.
